Scholarships & Grants
Through the WEN Foundation Funds, the Foundation offers scholarship and grant programs that benefit students, WEN members, and individuals in the energy industry.
College and Graduate School Scholarships
The WEN Foundation works with several WEN Chapters to establish Chapter Education Funds (CEF), which help the Chapters provide charitable and educational programming. A CEF allows donors to make donations that specifically address the needs of their local chapters and communities.

In addition to scholarships, uses for a Foundation-managed Education Fund include leadership training, educational initiatives, STEM-related activities, and charitable endeavors. Assets for individual Education Fund accounts are accounted for separately. Gifts designated for a specific fund will be used exclusively for charitable and educational purposes that benefit the members and community of the Fund Sponsor unless the Foundation’s Board of Directors determines that a use would be inconsistent with the Foundation’s charitable philanthropic and educational purposes.
Professional Development Grants
Professional Development Grants
The energy industry is changing rapidly, often leaving traditional careers in flux. As the nature of work evolves and energy companies shift to new operational models, employees will need to ‘reimagine themselves’ and develop capabilities that meet the industry’s new challenges.
In partnership with the Global Energy Transition, the WEN Foundation offers the Reimagine You and WEN Membership Grants to WEN members and individuals who want to upskill and acquire new knowledge, skills, and experiences to compete for new and transformational roles.

The WEN Foundation provides membership grants to WEN members whose membership lapses due to job loss or change.
The local WEN chapters provide grants for chapter members to build their careers through STEM and leadership education.
Reimagine You Grant
The Reimagine You Grant offers up to $2,500 to supplement the cost of training for courses and certificates in renewables, Environmental Social & Governance (ESG), compliance and regulatory matters, digital and data analytics, and other related opportunities.
WEN Membership Grant
The Foundation provides grants of up to $150 towards an individual membership in the Women’s Energy Network. Grant applicants are past WEN members whose membership has lapsed because of job elimination or other changes.
